With the advent of technology, it is undeniable that our growth as a society is intricately linked to our technological inventions. However, for a system that serves a diverse populace, the institutions that produce the innovations often lack diversity. For app developer Carol Wang, the only way forward is through more diversity and inclusion. “Live your dream and wear your passion”, is the life mantra of Carol Wang, a young app developer and freshman Computer Science major at UC Berkeley. She shared with DyNAMC that she developed a passion for technology, specifically app development, after “realizing how much you can do with it.”

Deena Pierott grew up in San Bernardino, CA, the youngest of four children. Ever curious about how things work, she was the risk-taker in the family. When she was twelve years old, she learned to drive by sneaking out in the middle of the night, driving her mom's car in the driveway. "I was the female version of Dennis the Menace," Deena shared with DyNAMC. She didn't realize then, that her boldness was indicative of an entrepreneurial spirit which served her well later in life when she launched the most innovative support and training technology program for youth in the country today.

He shares his journey with DyNAMC about the amount of publicity that is placed on gadgets and apps that we often forget the level of hard work of marketers, business developers and content writers who are responsible for bringing the existent of these innovations to the rest of the world. Dennis Williams gives us a peek at this world inside Silicon Valley.

For Kaj Gumbs, he believes his efforts are best put to use by being a part of the political process that creates these policies. Kaj is a Morehouse College – 2017 student, NAACP Political Action Executive Board Chairman Youth and College Division DyNAMC Future Leader and Kaj served as a millennial panelist at the 2016 NAMCO Leadership Diversity Summit and he made such a great impression that he was included as a 2017 DyNAMC Men of Excellence. – Stay tuned for what he has coming up next. In this episode we talk to former NFL wide receiver #37 for the Miami Dolphins, Damarr Aultman. Long Island native Damarr Aultman uses three F’s: Faith, Father and Family as inspiration on and off the field. According to the former Miami Dolphin and current coach, his hard work and patience has helped to make his dreams of playing in the NFL come true because "Great things come to those that wait."

He tells DyNAMC about his journey to the pros, his love of the game and the strength he draws from his family.

In this episode we talk with Daryl Joy Walters who has accomplished a lot in her young life.

She has obtained a degree in religion and philosophy, worked on political campaigns in a variety of capacities and stays active with her church and politics while studying for a master’s in theology. Walters considers her greatest accomplishment to be her decision to return to Louisiana after college and work at her parents’ trucking and catering business. “A lot of the skills I learned from them have been helpful when I work with other people,” she shares.

In this episode we talked with Michael Barlow recent West Point graduate and a millennial champion of diversity.

Candidates to the West Point Military Academy must not only apply directly to the academy, but also receive a nomination, usually from a member of Congress, or the President and Vice President of the United States. Michael Barlow recently graduated from West Point with a B.S. in Sociology and received the Coates Award for Most Outstanding in the West Point Sociology Program. He is also the only cadet in the history of West Point to qualify for the National Debate Tournament four times. Michael, a young man at the age of 23 years old, has his whole life ahead of him. He shares his inspiring journey with DyNAMC readers.
