For Honorable Mickey Ibarra, who leads one of the largest, well respected Latino advocacy groups in the nation whose father came from Mexico during World War II to help with the reaping of crops, having diverse voices in politics is extremely important to nation building. In this episode DyNAMC talks with Daryl Davis about The Power of Conversation “I Aint Never Scared”.

Daryl Davis does tremendous work across this nation that most or all of us would be too fearful to undertake.  But Daryl says “I Aint Never Scared”.  He has been featured in movies TV shows and has a long history as a musician playing with legendary greats to include Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley and Percy Sledge.  What we discuss today is his activist work as it relates to diversity.  Often we exclude those who think, look and act different than we do on the basis that they have nothing to offer us. It is an unfortunate fact, that no change can take place without dialogue. Daryl Davis explains why inviting conversations and recognizing the diverse views in our society is the only way forward to building a stronger nation.

DyNAMC speaks with Teja Arboleda about the three M’s - Multiculturalism, Media and Mission one of DyNAMC's 2017 Men of Excellence.

A true Renaissance Man, Teja (pronounced tay-ya) Teja Arboleda is the President and Creative Director of Entertaining Diversity, Inc. which focuses on diversity and inclusion programming through entertainment. He produces and edits documentaries for PBS and Discovery, and won an EMMY award in 1993 and three Telly Awards (2009, 2013, and 2017). Arboleda is African-American/Native-American-Filipino-Chinese & German-Danish and he grew up in Japan. In Arboleda’s charming and witty way he shares his journey with DyNAMC.

In this episode we talk to former NFL wide receiver #37 for the Miami Dolphins, Damarr Aultman. Long Island native Damarr Aultman uses three F’s: Faith, Father and Family as inspiration on and off the field. According to the former Miami Dolphin and current coach, his hard work and patience has helped to make his dreams of playing in the NFL come true because "Great things come to those that wait."

He tells DyNAMC about his journey to the pros, his love of the game and the strength he draws from his family.

The HIV/AIDS epidemic has been a global problem for many decades. However, where some countries have relatively functional systems and policies in place for dealing with it, others struggle to get governments to play a deeper role in combating the problem. DyNAMC speaks to international HIV/AIDS advocate Stephen Chukwumah on his work in and outside of Nigeria.

In this episode we spoke with writer and editor, Ben Ryan, on HIV/AIDS and the different avenues to combat the epidemic.

It has long been a sad fact that there is a stigma surrounding HIV and the LGBTQI community. For activist Ben Ryan, starting the conversation to educate and inform others has been a lifelong passion to which he stays true. He told DyNAMC about his work with various foundations, AIDS drugs on the market, and changes to policy that could help to combat an ever present health problem.
